The Rise of the eBooks

Just to name a few, the Internet, handheld computers, liquid crystal display, digital photo frames, Bluetooth, GPRS navigator-see pattern here? That's right; it is the way of the future. Technology has come a long way and now it is moving in the direction of everything digital, the digital era is here. Take a stroll down the streets and you will see everyone... ok maybe not everyone but the majority has a piece of a digital era gadget, so why not eBooks too? Don't get me wrong, even if I'm not an avid reader, but I do read a fair share of books during my free time and I do appreciate books, especially hard covered ones which are higher quality and definitely a keeper. But eBooks definitely have some qualities and benefits that are just as good as traditional books, if not better.

For instance, eBooks are quicker to obtain. You never need to drive out to a bookstore or even wait 28 days for shipment. Once the payment is made, your eBook is ready to be downloaded to your own personal pc within minutes.

There are other benefits buying eBooks, you usually get more than just the book itself. If you are lucky you may even find websites which offers eBooks with extra additional bonuses. These bonuses could include extra additional books for free, audio books, cheaper discounts and so much more.

eBooks is still the way to go, even if you insist reading on a paperback. Personal computers are all equipped with great graphics and great photo resolutions, which means you can re-print you eBooks from you computer with original quality. Never again you need to compromise on poor quality photocopy. In a recent study, most kids nowadays can't really focus if the textbooks are all filled black and white with words, short to say it turn them off to study. However eBooks on the other hand takes on a different approach, colorful pictures, animations, and audio visuals are all input to help kids absorb more information and increase their creativity and imaginations which is vital during their age.

If you are an avid reader, you probably would have a huge collection of books (and bookshelves). It is not an easy task when it comes to making more shelf space for more books. But why go through the trouble when eBooks is much easier to keep compare to these traditional books. You can store your whole collection of eBooks in you pc, handheld or a memory stick. Think about it, you never need to worry about rearranging, relocating and making space for your collection of eBooks. On the plus side, you can easily bring and read your eBooks anywhere at anytime on you handheld or laptop.

Remember the days when you visit the library? You finally found the book you have been looking forward to read so long, but unfortunately some of the pages are either falling out of the book or faded and torn out, shame indeed. But you will never get that from any eBooks, eBooks are made to last forever, you will never find its pages fade nor ruin, even if your computer has crashed and you have lost your eBook, you can always have it replaced at no cost at all.

Depending on the market, if the need is too low for a certain book, local publisher may not even publish the books. On the other hand it is a different case for eBooks, not only you can easily get it through the internet, the price could be far cheaper (or free for download) compare to the books on retail
