Writing an Ebook is Easier Than You Think

Writing an ebook need not be as difficult a task as you think. While it is true, sitting down to put together a 50 or 100 page book sounds impossible. You wouldn't want to write the entire ebook at one sitting, even it was possible. Break it up into small, manageable bits. Set a goal to write 300-500 words each day, and stick to it.

Adopt an informal writing style. Write it down the way you would say it. Repeat each sentence you write to ensure that it sounds okay. If it sounds peculiar, re-word it right away. Don't try to reword everything at the end. You will never find all of those awkward phrases.

Use your spelling and grammar checker on the work you do each day. Then, give it a careful and slow proofreading. This is a very important step if you want to provide a high quality product. Your spelling checker will not identify the word "kite" as a misspelled word, even though you intended to write the word "kit". Only a very slow and thorough proofreading will find these types of errors.

Break your ebook up into a number of small, separate chapters. It is also important to number each chapter as well. That way, in chapter 17, when you can refer to the reader to a previously covered point, you can tell them to look in chapter four. It's much more difficult if the chapters don't have numbers.

Break each chapter into a number of paragraphs and skip a line between each one. By skipping a line between each paragraph, you reduce eye strain and make your ebook much more pleasing to the eye.

Last but certainly not least, create a compelling title. The title is probably the most important factor in generating sales. If you title is dull and boring, few people will click through to your sales page. Make sure you have an enticing title.
