Selling and Marketing your ebook

So you've spend numerous weeks compiling the worlds best ebook that will take the world by storm, if only the world knew it existed. The measure of a successful book is not how well it is written, but how many people read it.

The following are some suggestions from marketing your ebook.

Ebay - ebay has a section for selling ebooks. Obviously there is a large amount of competition but at least it gets your book before a wide audience and you don't have to share any money with affiliates. The cost of listing the book is minimal, particularly if you already have an ebay store.

Use Affiliates - clickbank and other programs present ways to market online downloadable material if your willing to share the profits. Another alternative is to start your own. Along with this most ebooks have an offer to the readers to share in the profit by re-selling the ebook. So don't forget when compiling the ebook to finish it with an offer to the reader to share the book with others for a cut of the action.

Write some articles - don't forget the power of writing articles. Write a few book reviews on your ebook. Give it away to a few friends and ask them to do the same. Link them back to your main sales page.

Contact the owners of ebook stores. There are numerous ebook stores/websites on the internet. Contact some of the owners and ask them for their options in listing your book amongst their sale options. They may wish to buy the resale rights outright or enter into a profit sharing arrangement. You can then let them go to the trouble of marketing your ebook for you.
